Going Public

Hi folks,

It's been a while.  But, I have some fun ideas for this site and I think I'm going to take the "private" restrictions off the blog and make it public so it'll be easier access for others (including my mom who for some reason can't read this.)

So, before I make the switch, I'll probably do some revamping and take off some old photos and posts for privacy sake.

Just wanted to give you a heads up!  Looking forward to some fun new posts coming up!

A "New" Idea

"Why not?  That's what I thought when contemplating using this "new" avenue

to share fun and mundane details of our lives.  Realizing that uploading

200 pictures a month and sending them to family and friends to view without

any background details, probably isn't very enjoyable for others. Quality,

not quantity, right?  So, the goal is to post a few good pictures with brief

explanations, funny anecdotes, memorable quotes, etc. in lieu of a muddled

mass of monotonous moments.

In the blog formation process, I had to pick the title.  "This is super

important," various articles stated. (That's right, I actually read

articles on creating blogs.) "People will only want to read your blog if the

title is clever, catchy, and unique." What would make others

want to read this blog? I decided to keep it simple. 

This blog exists to let those who care maintain connection with this Wendt

family's life, even as distance may separate us.  Thus, this blog will

share, encourage, and discuss things that are important to us, things that

are part of the "Wendt's World." (Not to mention a little shout out to a

film classic!)"
